The ISO 9001 standard establishes the criteria for a Quality Management System and is the only standard that can certify any organisation regardless of its field of activity. It is of fundamental use when an organisation needs to manage the governance of its processes in full respect and protection of its stakeholders: customers, partners, suppliers, management and employees.

The primary purpose of the ISO 9001 norm is to ensure customer satisfaction with the products and services supplied, as well as to promote the continuous improvement of company performance.
