NEXT-GEN FIREWALL

From Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks to ransomware, the frequency, scale and complexity of cyber attacks show no signs of slowing down. All organisations need to secure their network as even a brief interruption or delay in service delivery can cause image damage and a drop in profits in the short and long term.

For more than 25 years, firewalls have been the first line of defence between internal networks, which are secure and controlled, and external networks that may or may not be reliable, such as the internet. Firewalls allow incoming and outgoing traffic to be monitored using a predefined set of security rules to allow or block events.

Traditional firewalls (or stateful inspection firewalls) allow or block traffic according to rules based on status, port and protocol, monitoring all activity from the moment a connection is established until it is closed. The application of the filter is decided based on the rules set by the administrator and the context, i.e. information about previous connections and packets belonging to the same connection.

But in a context where threats are constantly evolving, firewall technology has also had to adapt to change. Next-generation firewalls (NGFW) are no longer limited to packet filtering and stateful inspection, but also include advanced detection of the latest threats such as malware and application-level attacks.

Threat-focused NGFWs allow you to:

  • Identify the most vulnerable resources with detailed contextual information
  • React promptly to attacks thanks to intelligent security automation that dynamically sets policies and strengthens defences
  • Detect evasive or suspicious activity more effectively by correlating network and endpoint events
  • Significantly reduce the time between detection and response with retrospective security solutions that continuously monitor the network for suspicious activity even after the initial investigation
  • Simplify administration and reduce complexity with unified policies that protect the network at all stages of an attack.

ROUTING and SWITCHING

Modern switches provide a secure, simple system, an Ethernet solution with exceptional throughput, resilience and scalability. Virtualisation and cloud computing have created the prerequisites for a dense, high-bandwidth Ethernet network.

The switches we offer meet these challenges by providing a 10 GE, 40 GE or high-performance 100 GE compatible switching platform with a low total cost of ownership.

They are ideal for top-of-rack or aggregation servers as well as SD-branch network core implementations.

Today’s switches are specifically designed to meet the needs of today and tomorrow in bandwidth-intensive environments.

LAN and WLAN

Large campuses, dispersed companies and small enterprises all have different WLAN architecture requirements.

That’s why we offer a variety of models ranging from 2×2 to 4×4 internal or external antennas, to suit any use case. Our solutions offer flexibility in configuration and control, whether using clustered controls or a full cloud console.

SD-WAN

The increasing number of devices, online applications and innovative services requiring higher bandwidth, as well as the oingoing dematerialisation of archives and servers, has led to new requirements for speed, security and reliability.

An upgrade over the WAN system is the SD-WAN approach, which uses the first available connection to streamline network performance and significantly reduce bandwidth management costs.

The effectiveness of an SD-WAN network lies in the distribution of traffic across different links. This not only allows cost reduction and a net improvement in resource utilisation, but also allows bandwidth to be utilised in a way that ensures high performance without penalising privacy and data security.

The essential function of an SD-WAN connection is to dynamically direct traffic to the best available connection. This highly dynamic approach ensures the proper performance of applications.
